Day 5: Sunrise on Christmas Eve, Chaco Canyon. The morning dawned crisp and clear. We had hot tea and a delicious breakfast and set out for a different view of the Canyon. Except for an hour or two at a time, the weather was like this for the rest of our trip, warming into the 30's or 40's most days and with no precipitation at all. The only snow we saw was already on the ground. In no time at all, we were acclimated to the relatively cold, thin air (compared to Dallas) and we weren't in the least bit uncomfortable.
