Day 7: Zion National Park—probably the highlight of our trip.  You are looking at one of two windows cut in solid rock at right angles to a mile-long tunnel that is cut through the mountain that you have to drive through to get into the park. From inside the tunnel, you get two brief and breathtaking views of the canyon, but you can't stop to enjoy the view.

I imagine that there is so much traffic in the warmer months that folks actually have time to take in the view as they creep through the tunnel.
