| I had the opportunity to spend one night in Madrid at the end of my trip to Pamplona. I decided to stay downtown, which meant travel from the airport. There are special trains to and from the airport for the convenience of travelers. But I cannot for the life of me understand why this long flight of stairs is imposed on folks young and old who will obviously be carrying luggage. There we no alternative methods of getting from one level to the other--neither elevator nor escalator. Believe me, I looked. |
