Here's another case of my mocking the "split the face down the middle and show only half" gimmick that is popular in 1X.Com portraits. It was taken, however, for one of the WeeklyShot "Self Portrait" themes.
This is a composite of two self portraits standing on either side of the central test-pattern target--and, yes, only half of my face appears in each frame. If you were to make a print and bend it around until the two edges are touching, you'd see a pretty good likeness of me in a full portrait.
This was taken with my wife's little Panasonic point-and-shoot. As I couldn't pre-focus or manually focus, I had to have something in the middle of the photo at the correct distance for the camera to focus on.
