| Here's a view of downtown Dallas taken from Swiss Avenue adjacent to the Meadows Foundation dog park (on the right). Compare this to another shot of downtown taken from a slightly more distant vantage point.
The Meadows Foundation restored several blocks of Swiss Avenue between 1984 and 1985 by buying, moving to Swiss Avenue and beautifully restoring, historic homes they found in and around Dallas--they look a bit like this house located in another neighborhood. Each of the houses serves as the office for a local non-profit community organization. Each restored home is a great addition to the near-downtown area. Here's one of the Meadows signs at the beginning of the Beilharz Block of Swiss Avenue. |
