This photograph was taken around 1972 on a very cold morning, shortly after sunrise, on Enchanted Rock in the Texas hill country. This area is now a state park.

For the techical buffs out there, the image was captured on 4x5 inch B/W film using a hand-held Speed Graphic camera.
