43-Ad-hoc-driver

Ad hoc taxi driver, Moscow, whom I waved down for a ride from the Novodevichy Cemetery back to the Rossiya Hotel. It seems strange to me, but every citizen in a car in Moscow is a potential taxi. You wave your arm toward a passing car. If they pull over, you discuss where you want to go and how much you are willing to pay. That settled, you climb in and off you go.  In this case, the driver got lost and was running out of gas.  I was running out of time. It turned out to be a sightseeing adventure, seeing much more of Moscow than I would have by a more direct route.
