This shot is not posed--that is, they are in the middle of a rehearsal on stage. The stage was lit only with work lights, and I knew they wouldn't provide adequate or attractive light for this photo opportunity, so I brought in one of my large, soft-box electronic strobes which I placed downstage right, out of the way of the dancers.

I like that both their faces are silhouetted in profile. Notice the callous on Suzanne's left elbow...it's not a bruise. I wonder what caused that.
